Tiana & Jarrett have to be the most easy going couple I have ever worked with. Tiana found Us via Instagram, after their original planner had to break ties due to some personal issues. Just Us was then contracted for full service planning and design, just 6 months out from the big day. From the very beginning, Tiana wanted her bohemian wedding day to be simple, yet luscious in character and design. Their planning meetings were always so easy, as they came well prepared with their previously assigned homework items, and very eager for more.
Tiana & Jarrett chose the Del Rio Country Club as both their ceremony and reception venue in Modesto California, where the girls started their day nice and early with Bare Face Beauty. Not long after, the Just Us team arrived and began our setup, along with My Little Balloon Company (who supplied our reception draping), Standard Event Rentals (flatware and charger), BBJ LaTavola (table linen), and Desert Rose Creative (florals and table accents).
Robert Chavez Photography and Emerald Cinema Films were the next vendors onsite, and began shooting details. They event perfectly caught the gents arriving “game day” style. Where they had their garment bags over their shoulders, headphones on, and were locked in focusing on the task at hand that day – getting Tiana & Jarrett married.
I have to admit, I’m a sucker for a first look, and these two didn’t disappoint; nor did their first looks with their respective wedding parties.
Roberto Chavez Photography & Emerald Cinema Films knocked out a ton of pre-ceremony pictures, so that the the couple and their wedding party could enjoy as much of their morning as possible together having fun.
The ceremony was held under a beautiful oak tree on property, at near the golf courses first hole’s tee box. This lawn was so incredibly stunning on its own, that we only added ivory rose petals down the aisle as the perfect cherry on top. North Cal Productions (DJ Luis) set the tone of the ceremony with Heaven by Kane Brown as the family and wedding party processed, then Tiana, escorted by her father, processed to A Thousand Years by The Piano Guy. Both Tiana and the moment were simply stunning.
Tiana & Jarrett did something during their ceremony that was a first for me, a unity shot of tequila. To be honest I really love how this turned out, as it was a precious moment between the two of them for all of their family and friends to witness (and of course a little fun too).
Before long, these two were pronounced husband & wife! After they recessed, and their formal family portraits were completed, the couple was escorted onto the golf course to round out their portraits with a beautiful sunset as their background.
Something else that was a first for me, was a pre-reception game of flip cup where the Tiana and her bridesmaids competed against Jarrett and his groomsmen. It certainly got everyone fired up going into the reception for their grand entrance!
DJ Luis with Nor Cal Productions kicked off the reception with the announcement of our newlyweds, followed by a welcome toast by Tiana’s father, with dinner served by the Del Rio team shortly after. Once everyone had been served, guests enjoyed toasts and speeches by members of the wedding party, and then the party really got started, celebrating Tiana & Jarrett!
Something else that I really loved about these two were their friends and family, truly some of the nicest, most genuine humans I have ever met at a wedding, which made the weekend that much more enjoyable. The Just Us team had the best time not only working with Tiana & Jarrett throughout their planning, but there wedding day was smoother than any planner could ever hope. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and I can’t wait to watch your love continue to grow!
