Meggie & Tim have one of the purest and unconditional loves I have ever had the honor to not only witness, but to also be a part of.
These two met through a mutual friend, when Tim was in flight school in Meridian, MS and Meggie was a nurse in Pensacola, FL. They started dating during COVID, and after about a year of dating, knew they were meant for the long run.
Meggie & I were sorority sisters in college, and she also just so happened to be one of the two Maid of Honors in my wedding, so you could say we’re pretty good friends.
When Tim knew he wanted to propose, he reached out to me several months prior to start planning. He planned to surprise Meggie the day after Thanksgiving on the beach while she was taking pictures with her family. However, she was under the impression that he was hunting in the middle of nowhere without cell service. And on that cool fall day, Tim got down on one knee in the sand, and had the most precious of proposals to my best friend. He had Anne (Meggie’s golden retriever) all ready, in addition to a photographer; as well as a video put together by one of Meggie’s friends with video montages from several of her other friends leading up to the day of the proposal.
Fast forward 10 months, and it’s wedding weekend! The celebration kicked off with Meggie’s bridal shower held at The Clubhouse at Swift Creek, catered by Cafe Rico. Ladies sipped on champagne while Meggie was spoiled of great company and very thoughtful gifts. In the meantime, Tim and his friends played a round of golf nearby.
Later that day, we arrived to Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church in Niceville, FL for the couples ceremony rehearsal, then made our way back to The Clubhouse at Swift Creek for their rehearsal dinner, catered by Tisano’s (Italian) Restaurant.
Next up, wedding day! The girls started hair and makeup bright and early at a private estate with the help of Mane 850. Before we knew it, the photo & video team from Dalton Young Films & Photography arrived and began shooting all of Meggie & Tim’s details, such as their invitation suite; her dress, jewelry, rings, and a very special pendant of Meggie’s gold retriever Anne, who had very recently crossed the rainbow bridge.
Once hair and makeup concluded, the girls got dressed then made their way to Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church. Meggie gowned onsite with the help of her mom and sister, and had the most precious of first looks with her father.
Not long after the girls arrived onsite, Tim and his groomsmen followed suit. Before the ceremony, they exchanged a first touch, and read letters to each other to help calm their nerves.
Hail Mary kicked off the ceremony processional with all of their grandparents, parents, and wedding party, with Meggie walked down the aisle to the oh so classic Cannon in D, and was escorted by her father.
Following their ceremony, was the traditional Naval Saber Arch just outside the entrance of the church.
Formal family portraits were then held in the sanctuary, then family and wedding party made their way to the cocktail hour and reception venue, The Soundside Club at Hulburt Field Air Force Base.
Wedding party took pictures outside along the Gulf while guests enjoyed cocktails and small bites inside.
Before long Brandon with Fluid Motion was announcing Lt JG & Mrs. into their reception as husband and wife! They enjoyed their first dance to I Pray for You by Matt Stell, Meggie’s parents welcome guests, a family friend gave a blessing, and dinner was served by The Soundside Club.
They had a handful of toasts, their cake cutting (courtesy of Cafe Rico), and the traditional parent dances, and then the party really got started! Both Meggie & Tim changed into reception outfits; Meggie a more casual white dress, and Tim his Naval dress whites (both changes made dancing far easier).
The couple ended the night with a bubble grand exit, and continued the party at AJ’s in Destin.
Associate Planner, Samantha, served as the month of coordinator for these two, and had the best time working with them leading up too their big day! The entire Just Us team wishes them nothing from the best on their newest adventure as husband and wife!
