Megan and Taleni first contacted me about two months out from their wedding, as they were unhappy with the coordinator they currently had. They needed more help, better communication, someone who was dependable, and someone who would make their wedding day run so smoothly, so that they wouldn’t have a thing to worry about.
Adding to the excitement and in true Just Us form, Meg and Taleni were planning from Pittsburgh, PA, I was planning from southern California, and the wedding was being held in Charlotte, NC.
We quickly dove right into the planning to tie up loose ends, though Meg and Taleni’s organization made this so easy for Us.
Come wedding weekend, we started with the rehearsal and was followed by the rehearsal dinner, both of which were at The Champagne Manor. The ceremony spot on the property has a beautiful oversized white and dark wood arch, and it overlooks a gorgeous pond with rolling hills and perfect sunsets as its backdrop. Following the rehearsal, guests made their way into the Manor for drinks, with dinner set on the pool deck.
Giglio Hair Designs and Bailey Upchurch Makeup kicked off the wedding day with Meg and her party in their getting-ready space at The Champagne Manor. A little later in the morning, Just Us Weddings, BBJ LaTavola (napkins), Heatherly Event Designs (florist), and Alpha Lit Charlotte (marquee lights) arrived to begin the ceremony and reception setup.
Not long after, Morgan Long Photography and Sam Visual Videography arrived on property and began shooting the couple’s details. Soon after, Meg and Taleni were getting dressed, then went right into their first look, and was followed by pictures with their wedding party.
Guests arrived by bus with the help of Riches & Roses Transportation, and DJ DeAngelo of Split Second Sound (entertainment) started our prelude music. As guests arrived, they were able to watch Abby Lynn Art (live painter) as she primed her canvas for the ceremony. The two were married by good friend, Tyler, and moments later were announced as husband and wife!
Guests made their way to cocktail hour on the manor’s patio, a quaint space lined with cafe lights, rustic lounge furniture and of course, a fully stocked bar. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Meg and Taleni had their formal family portraits taken, and once finished joined friends and family at cocktail hour.
At the end of cocktail hour, guests were asked to find their seats, directed by following a trail of champagne marked with each guests names and table numbers, Meg and Taleni’s grand entrance and absolute swoon-worthy first dance started the reception. After their first dance, Taleni’s dad welcomed guests, and Best Impressions Catering served up a plated-style of dinner. Following dinner, a few members of the wedding party gave toasts, Meg had a quick outfit change (into the cutest gold sequin-covered jumpsuit), these two cheered with Krispy Kreme donuts, and then DJ DeAngelo cranked up the party!
Although we were only with Meg and Taleni for a very short planning period, getting to be a part of their day was so much fun, and we wish them nothing but happiness and safe travels, (as these two are off to lots of new destinations) as husband and wife!
